NIGHTINGALE -> BELT

Nightingale is mostly tsun about Belt. She's... genuinely frustrated that Belt did that thing, that was irritating and unnecessary and really made her mad. But she still remembers that feelings jam she had with Belt, or... mostly remembers, since she spent that jam drinking, and she just tries very hard to make sure Belt doesn't know just how fucked she is. She wouldn't mind getting to know Belt better, but.

NIGHTINGALE -> MACARON

It's Belt, but without the stupid negative frustrating parts, what the absolute fucking hell. She actually genuinely likes Macaron, but not being remembered is a little sad and frustrating to her, since it seems like near-everyone does but Sparrow. She'd trade Belt for Macaron if she could.

DIAMOND -> ED

She doesn't hate him, but she still thinks he is intensely frustrating and dumb as hell and every time she starts thinking better of him he ruins it so it's just like FUCK IT /nopes out of this

Belt likes Nightingale and wishes they were closer because HERE IS A PERSON WHO UNDERSTANDS NOT LIKING THEMSELVES which I also understand so I WANT SOMEONE TO TALK TO ABOUT THAT but talking is exposing weakness and /paranoiaparanoiaparanoia. So. She wants to be friends but she doesn't really know how to do anything even remotely like trust her. Which leads to problems when, say, it seems like Nightingale is hiding anything at all. So it's like she wants to be friends but she's a grumpy distrustful cat. :(

MACARON > NIGHTINGALE

Macaron on the other hand has no such issues, and she thinks Nightingale is a lovely and smart young lady who needs to believe in herself a little more. She wishes she could help with the Belt situation but... outside of providing advise she has nothing she can do.

ED > DIAMOND

These came from Ed summarizing the situation with Garnet. They also pretty much summarize it. He doesn't hate her, and he'd like to be her friend, but he gets this idea that it's just not happening and so it's not worth forcing it. She'll come around eventually.

SO WITH RUBY VANISHING oz sort of... got forcibly shoved into the 'kid' slot in Diamond's mind. which is probably both good and bad. It means she wants to keep Amber very safe from bad things and take care of him and all and basically fuss at him aggressively!

SHE THINKS HE'S PRETTY COOL and she's kind of having mixed feelings over this recent memory of his with her own baggage. because son of duke -> BAD THING MUST HATE -> wait the duke just betrayed his ass and the duke is a horrible fucking person -> MUST PROTECT THE KID -> what the fucking fuck, pandora hearts

HE LIKES DIAMOND. he kind of figures she's concerned about him as, like, NEW GUY which is really touching! he's not super used to being on the receiving end of caring like that and thinks it's sweet. he'll probably try not to worry her except from oz that doesn't mean "not doing reckless things" so much as "doing them and then lying about it" so SORRY IN ADVANCE. overall he thinks she's a pretty cool person! he doesn't know a lot about the thief thing yet but it seems SUPER COOL so you know that's all that matters, and she seems really nice to boot. plus the strong personality type he tends to admire, so all good things.

god ROOK IS IN A REALLY WEIRD POSITION. after that... mess in the heart, Nightingale is just. full of dere and sad at him too much to even bother being tsun. She actually likes him and thinks he is a good person and would like to get to know him better, but she also worries, like always, getting too close would make him hate her because she sucks. But she's less... bitchy and tsuntsun at him than probably anyone else- even takshaka- because of what they went through and she doesn't want to be a huge mess all over him again.

BUT OKAY even before heart stuff Rook could kind of get an idea of how she was. HE HAS DEALT WITH MANY TSUNS BEFORE so it's not like ... that threw him off any. But otherwise she just came off as anti social and from a couple of things she's said sort of low on self esteem. Which he both gets but at the same time tries to KICK IN THE FACE (in Kyr anyway) and he's had a lot of experience about trying to encourage people to have MORE SELF WORTH (boyfriend). So he thought Nightingale was just a girl who was down on herself and hid it with tsun. And he figured okay, this is a Type but it's not cause for super concern.

Which was like the tip of the iceberg as he found out in the heart game. :') But he still. Did his best to try and soften all of that freaking out and trauma for her (which also helped him a little...). But then the rest of the game when they both calmed down a little and had a NEW GOAL she was surprisingly sweet and helpful to him and it was really nice. .///. Healing him and pulling him into the nestbed. So he has a lot of FRIENDERE BACK AT HER after all that.

And he hopes things went well after ... all that with Tak and that she's not hating on herself as hard as she was then so he wants to HELP HER NOT BE IN THAT HOLE OF SELF HATRED with feelings and things doing.

they really just need to hang out more :( they're really cute and it's like. nightingale at her core is actually a really sweet person, but she's just been so fucked up by her life it's hard for her to do that with people, but rook managed to get a shortcut there (through INTENSE HORRIBLE TRAUMA)- it only worked well because both of them died, though, i think. if he hadn't died she would have been more of a cranky mess but she thought since he died and was upset she had to... try to be there for him

Nightingale is pretty sure Rosella intensely dislikes her, what with the frustrations and Nightingale assuming that of everyone. Which makes her sad, but she's kind of milking the frustration because she thinks Rosella is kiiiind of similar to how Nightingale used to be in high school era, and we saw how she ended up, so it's like. She's trying to scare Rosella away from her for her own good. because her failure is contagious :( She really does care about Rosella but she shows it in... stupid ways. because she's nightingale. She would like to get to know her better and become closer, though!

okay but NIGHTINGALE LOEV SPARROW like. out of everyone in kyr she loves bluebird and sparrow the most. sparrow is like. her family and she's actually trying really hard to be better about being good family. because sisters. it's honestly sparrow and bluebird reaching out to her continually that is doing the most good for her, and sparrow especially! because she can tell the care and concern is genuine and it's just a BIG HUGE MESS of feelings.

but she still doesn't know how to care right so she's just being a big tsundere mess. at least sparrow realizes that is what she is doing.

basically short of a heart game she's still not going to take initiative and be down on herself and there's really not much that can be done about that but the best way to get her back to normal is probably just going to be being physical with her. She isn't very good at it but she loves physical affection so much, so basically just. Hugs and cuddles are the way to do it.

I'M GOING TO BABBLE ABOUT THIS AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME THOUGH basically aiya (and therefore nightingale) just have this thing where she really wants to feel wanted. but she can't bring it up herself because it's not really honest if she brings it up and people only tell her because she wants to hear! so the other party initiating something like physical affection at random times, not just because she is very clearly fucked up, is what she really craves most, because it's just a little sign that indicates that yes, they do in fact want her there.

the biggest thing that could probably help her would be another game like the early games where she was able to break things and help and everyone appreciated her for it but people are smarter about their rules now, sadly. so heart game is probably going to be needed.

tl;dr sufficient hugs can probably get her back to resembling where she was before. or better since she won't be as cranky at everyone. ~~makeouts might help too i'm just saying~~

GRUMPY TAKSHAKA...... She's still ultra defensive on Takshaka's behalf re: the GM light game, so if Nightingale wants to glare and puff at people she would be super down for that. Otherwise, Nightingale is also that grumpy Takshaka, though she did see a little more of her in the heartgame. Definitely recognized the snake smooshable as her!! Nightingale is insta-like for being Takshaka, and once she realizes how important she is to Bluebird, important by proxy. Otherwise she doesn't know her too well, THAT SHOULD CHANGE.

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS THOUGH she wouldn't change much. She does value Tiamat and likes them a lot as they are and wouldn't want to change them. She gets frustrated sometimes but that's not something she necessarily wants to change, that's just people being different and having different viewpoints is good and makes them flexible.

She'd just give them all happier home lives, make Kaito see her way about FUCK DA POLICE, and mute Ed.

Diamond -> Lace

Diamond really likes Lace! Other than Ivy, the Dawons she feels like she knows pretty well are Lace and Hydra, and Hydra is just a mess who needs infinite hugs, so she's sort of pegging Lace as Dawon's other adult besides Ivy. Since she does care about Dawon a lot, that is good in her view! And their earlier talks about wanting to help Ivy while she was in her depression made it so that she trusts Lace near-absolutely- basically on par with the rest of Tiamat (aside Ed). And I've spoken about it before that Diamond really doesn't have any difference between trusting and liking someone, so getting her to trust her that much means she really likes and cares for Lace.

Something I haven't really touched on before is how Diamond views teams- she doesn't, really, at all. Her shitty life at home has basically impressed on her that teams are bullshit- you have your Us and you have your Them, and Us is good and Them is neutral to bad. In her world, once she set out on her own, Us was only herself and Ivy, and Ivy was the only person she trusted/liked. She can be social and happy and nice with everyone else, but every Them is a potential enemy. That's how she's taking to Kyr, and it's making her surprisingly insular; she sticks to her Us and everyone else is a Them.

In Kyr, though, her Us has expanded a bit- now it's Tiamat, Dawon, and Aoko that are all Us, so she does like and care for all of them (Ed hovers somewhere in between Us and Them and it's intensely frustrating to her).

Nightingale -> Natalie

So that's an interesting relationship, because Nightingale pegged Natalie immediately as being similar to herself, and she normally hates people like herself- that's what has her hating Swan so much. But the judging and the sanity and the general good sense and actually reaching out to talk to her first all add up to a surprisingly good first impression. Need to talk more. DON'T WORRY THO SHE WON'T TELL ANYONE YOU SMILED.
