Junior high- Meeting Araj

In junior high, early in her first year, Aiya is sitting in her classroom quietly, as her homeroom teacher tries (In vain, Aiya notes in the back of her head, before repressing that kind of thinking) to get order in the classroom. Looking around, it's a mixed class, with humans and beast tribe- that is, people with animalistic features- in roughly equal numbers, and a small number of elves in the back.

Once the classroom quiets down enough, the teacher (an elderly human man, who used his mage's staff as a walking stick) waves at the door. For a moment, nothing happened, then incredibly nervously, a small, timid-looking girl entered. She seems small- Aiya notes she even appears to be smaller than herself, which is pretty small, but it could just be because of her hunched posture, as if the girl was trying to take up less space than she did. She has long, chestnut-colored hair covering one eye, a bow on her back, and most interestingly... Long, pointed ears.

The elves in the room seem to lose their minds, and Aiya can't figure out why, until the teacher starts talking over them. We won't be getting into elven politics, he says, but Araj only recently came to the city, so help her get used to it. Aiya understands immediately- The elves who live in the forests hate the elves who live in the city, and vice versa. So when one leaves to go to the other, it tends to be bad. She immediately raised her hand, and pointed out an empty seat near herself to the teacher- Situating herself between Araj and the other elves in the room. They'd get used to each other in time, she thinks, but for now, she would try to help her out.

Unfortunately, the seat she had pointed out is also right next to Yura, who as soon as break ended is all over the new girl- quite literally, draping on her and pestering her with questions. Aiya has to give Yura A Look to get her off of the poor girl. Fortunately, Araj doesn't seem to mind. The three of them start talking quickly enough, and the rest of the class is content to leave them alone as they get to know each other. Araj seems very awkward, but Aiya is doing her best to be kind and help her get adjusted. They talk about the city, and Araj's eyes light up whenever the topic of convenient technology comes up, but she quickly shrinks back to an awkward mess again.

Still, they talk rather easily, and by the end of the day, Aiya and Yura are both quite fond of Araj. Araj thanks them with a shy smile, saying she's happy she was able to make friends so quickly- Being called a friend stuns Aiya, as she's not sure what to say. She made another friend? Fortunately, Yura is there to make it easier and drape on both of them, and assure Araj that she'll have tons and tons of friends by this time next week.

Once Aiya separates from them to go home, she feels odd, but happy to have been called a friend.

Effects:
- I DID FRANDSHIP????!?!?!!!?!?!!
- I recognize Araj from my party that time we died a lot.
- I guess... I know elven politics??? Wow that is a fucking weird thing to know.
- Yura basically saved the day by not letting either her or Araj awkward turtle too much. +5000 appreciation towards Yura!
- ?!?!? STILL A WEIRD MEMORY okay.
