neupos: fucking movies
All emotions in this memory have a sort of muted, apathetic feeling to them, though it's not as bad as her earlier memories. Still, her emotions are very clearly not working right for most of it.
It's been about a week since Aiya's birthday, and Yura has the day off, so at Yura's suggestion, the two of them decide to go see a movie. The first hurdle, of course, is that after their earlier talks, Yura's pushing Aiya to do more, and tries to get Aiya to decide on the movie. And, of course, Aiya doesn't know anything about any of these movies. She eventually picks one she recognized from commercials- Some big high-budget action thing.
Yura pulls her along to the very back of the theater, though, to take their seats all the way back there. Aiya doesn't pay much attention to that, instead wondering why there are so many empty seats for a movie that was supposed to be this highly promoted... It's not empty by any means, but it's more like a full quarter of the seats are empty.
She gets her answer soon enough: The movie is utter shit. It's about an elven spy being sent back to investigate the forests, when he discovers a magitech missile plan to destroy everything and cover the world in nothing but forest... There's a lot of explosions and action sequences, but the acting is terrible, the plot is nonsensical, and Aiya's already regretting her decision.
Yura seems to be able to sense this, though, and she leans over to her and whispers very quietly: "Want to make our own fun for this?" Aiya glances over, not sure what she means- until she squeaks lightly when she feels Yura's hand on her hip, under her shirt. She immediately claps a hand over her mouth so no one else will notice, and...
... Ah, fuck it, why not. She nods.
(I'm not writing out the next part, okay. They fuck in the theater, it's amazing, and Aiya has a lot of trouble keeping silent, but she manages.)
They barely manage to wrap up before the movie ends, and Aiya quickly fixes her clothes before anyone can see. That was a hell of a thrill, she had to admit, but...
Wait a minute, a thrill? That was... definitely a feeling of a thrill. Fear and excitement... She wasn't sure whether she should think about the implications of what that meant about her, first, or the fact that she had some small emotions again...
Ah, wait, no. First, she had something much more important to address.
"Was that your plan from the start?" She huffs at Yura, as they walk home, away from anyone who would overhear.
"Hm, of course not!" She grins.
"Really?"
"Well, only since when you decided on that movie." Yura laughs, tail flicking back and forth.
"So you knew the movie was going to be like that." Aiya stares with her arms folded.
"Well, yeah... But you were finally out and doing things and picking things again, so I thought it was too nice to change your mind." Her voice sounds mildly apologetic.
Already, Aiya can feel the emotions fading again, slowly sliding back into the gray apathy that she's been trapped in for years. She can't slide back all the way, though, she knows. She's going to do her best to stay above this...
"... I guess it turned out all right, anyway." She turns away. "That might have been more fun than any of the movies."
Yura perks up again, draping on Aiya as they walk. "Oh, you enjoyed it that much? In that case, we'll have to do it aga-" "Absolutely not."
Effects: oh god confusion. she was starting to get better before kyr? did the amnesia make her backslide or did something else happen? also OH GOD WHY THIS I AM NEVER GOING TO HEAR THE END OF IT.
