Trivpos: Realizing they have a full party
This memory takes place early in Aiya’s college days, and a vague dull greyness is settled over the memory, and the feelings in it all feel rather muted.
Cove has joined their group, of sorts, and the four of them are hanging out together in Yura’s dorm room (Aiya can’t help but get the mental image of a cat clinging to a thrashing fish whenever Yura and Cove are talking). Yura is draped over Aiya, while Cove and Araj are sharing a couch.
They’re just spending time together, talking about random stuff like new movies and their classes, when Aiya, Yura, and Araj all get loud beeping sounds from their inventories- a message on their AMS (the little PDA-looking thing they carry, that shows their stats and inventory and the like). It’s a mail from the Adventure Bureau, which catalogs all the dungeons and runs the various adventure-related aspects of society. The message is simple: The large earthquake last week opened up the entrance to a new dungeon. Their scouts had returned, and now there was information on the dungeon:
Outer Delwight - Dark Dimensions
Location: Delwight, x32 y87
Type: Otherworldly, cave, forest
Recommended Party Size: 4 people
Recommended Level: 30-35
They all look up, Cove having read over Araj’s shoulder. Yura immediately jumps up, wanting to go. Aiya points out they shouldn’t- Yura’s the highest level of them all, but she’s only level 25, and there’s only three people in their party, and they don’t even have a tank. Yura pouts, but it’s then Cove speaks up.
My class is Warrior. she says simply. The Warrior class’s stats run through Aiya’s head, but most importantly, that’s a tank…
Tank. Yura is a healer, Araj is a physical attacker, Aiya herself is a magical attacker, and with the addition of a tank, their options multiply so much… Yet, Aiya feels a twinge of something like guilt. She should be much happier about this- Look at how excited Yura is, after all…
Yura, for her part, took Cove’s hands in her own. So, she asked, she’ll join their party, right? Cove seems a little overwhelmed, but just nods. Yura practically jumps for joy, and Aiya tries to share in her enthusiasm, but for some reason, just can’t...
